There has been a shad spawn early in the morning. If it is still going on look for the white egrets or blue herons along the shore. They will give away the location. They will be lined up along the banks or the trees. Spinnerbait or buzzbait will get you bit.
I've been getting quite a few on a frog, wacky senko or t-rig creature bait. There are still groups of post spawn fish in some pockets or near spawning areas. However, keep an eye on the water level. My last two trips out they started dropping water and my bite went with it. Just look at the timber and you can tell if they are letting out water.
