I had an Ultrex installed yesterday and gave a couple of questions. I have two Helix 12's installed and my previous Fotrex did not have the built in transducer. The shop that installed the Ultrex put the external transducer from the Fortrex on the Ultrex. Any reason to do this? It appears the Hummingbirds are compatible with the Ultrex.

The Ultrex I bought has the link capability. I'm thinking I'll just connect it to the front Helix to keep it simple. I think I need to buy an adapter to fit in the Helix, is this correct? I've posted on another forum also but still unclear on exactly what I need. Shop that installed the Ultrex didn't have one of the parts to connect it all together.

The bow mounted Helix has DI so that's the reason for not using the built in transducer on the Ultrex I was told. So, that makes sense now. Should have asked more questions but I got to talking to some guys and was in a hurry to get home.

Need one of these to plug into the Helix for the the Ethernet connection from the I pilot link.

If you ever decide to network both helix units and the I pilot link that would require the 5port ethernet switch along with Ethernet cables from each unit to the switch along with another adapter cable.
