 High wind and a pile of crappie(VIDEO ADDED)

I received a invite from gonnnz to go chase crappie in the high winds on sunday and boy did we have a ball. We had the lake to ourselfs and I can't image why  so we took full advantage. Our best depth was 11 fow right on the bottom. All but a few fish were caught on orange and chartuse bait. We ended up with a double limit and a lot less skin on my thumb!

Gonzz sent me the picture, after you guys left the lake. You guys must need crappie WAY WORSE than I do, to fish in that hurricane!!! I assume it looked something like this??

With his 21ft boat and XI5 it was surprisingly pleasant, plus were crazy about fishing and lighting is the only thing that will keep me off the water.

Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

I fished with him one time, when the roller waves were coming over the front of his boat. I stayed dry, but he got SOAKED!! We caught some fish, but I wouldn't classify that trip as "fun".
