Sandbass are all over the main lake. Most are smaller and you have to keep moving to find the keepers. Fish are from shallow points and humps to open deep water. They are Schooling most days and there are still a few birds around but they don't seem to be to interested lately. Techniques that worked for me is a top water pop-r for schoolin fish or a small foam bobber with a crappie jig underneath peg the bobber 18" above the jig and work it like a topwater. It's fun to watch them hit the bobber and chase it like crazy and when they hook up on the crappie jig it is a lot easier to unhook them than a pop-r with multiple treble hooks. The bobber also helps attract the fish and it is easy hookups on the jig. Other technique is a 1/2 slab and you can choose to put a fly or crappie jig about 15" above and work the points and humps. The jig or fly above has really been helping and always fun hooking up with doubles. Couple graph pics of some fish shallow and and deep.
