How close together were all these tests? If he was a heavy smoker and quit cold, he could still test positive for 6-7 months. It all depends on the test. The employer type testing uses a certain threshold level that is easier to pass. Other testing like the VA does can find any trace at all and that can go back 6-7 months. The levels do decrease every month if they don't smoke, however.
This is why drug testing really just means testing for pot. The whole war on drugs is mostly just a war on pot.

What a shame, both for him, and for football. He could have been a force to be reckoned with. He was a beast at times when playing for the Huskers.
