I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new trolling motor. Does anyone have the new Terrova with the updated ipilot? I've heard a lot about how the new spot lock is much more accurate and I think the remote has more features than the XI5 (it's at least got a bunch more buttons lol). I know a lot of y'all love the XI5 but I haven't heard much about the new Terrova. I'll take any info/opinions you've got. I'm not dead set on the Terrova (it's also $200 more than the XI5) but I'm leaning that way. Thanks

Miles

Buddy has one of the new ones still in the box for sale. 24v. I don't know any of the details past that but it would be several hundred cheaper than getting one at the store.

Slewfoot, is there a reason he is selling it? I'm thinking about a MK with new iPilot or iPilot link myself.

I've heard that there are still a few bugs that MK is working through (kinda like the guy who got a new unit from MK because there must have been an issue with the old one). Spotlock is much improved though.

Works with MG Xi5, Xi3 and MK Terrova, Ulterra, PD V2 and Riptides as well.

I wonder if the new Ulterra's are having the same bugs.

I have had my Ulterra for two months now, 40 hours on the water, no issues.

I have the Ultrex and had the Xi5 earlier. The i-Pilot system on the MK is holding just as well as the snr/gps system on the MG. Infact the MK will only rotate 180 dgrees then return and not wrap three times revolutions before returning like the MG. other than that they both are great motors and will hold well to your position.

As with anything new and electrical there can me glitches from one unit to the other. It is just the nature of the beast.

I bought four flood lights from Lowes and two out of the four worked.....

Oh, and yes the i-pilot system on the Ultrex is the same system that is on the Terrova, Ulterra and Powerdive V2

The i-pilot remote will have a display so you can see the level of power you are at with prop speed.
