Me, my wife and kid are looking to turn over a new leaf, Lounging around at the lake has led to an unhealthy lifestyle, but the buck stops here. Time to get healthier and hopefully shed a few pounds. Im looking for any suggestions to help us out, wether it be diet related, exercise tips, anything will help at this point. Very limited budget though, high end grocery stores aren't an option, anyone know any second hand places to get exercise equipment? Treadmills, Exercise bikes(stationary or normal), weight benches..I appreciate any feedback, positive or negative. me and the fam(Coleen and Nicole)

Walking would be the best place to start. You push yourself too hard at first and it won't end well.

first thing you need to do is talk to your dr. about how much is good for you to start, make sure you are not putting yourself at risk with physical activity for extended periods.
see if there is a low cost gym with a month to month membership (not a contract yr long deal) and go often. there is a gym in edmond OKIELAND that cost 10.00 a month with no contract, may find one here.

one more, change your diet to include a lot more veggies/poultry/pork, eat less but eat 4-5 times a day in small portions.
NO SNACKS, sorry but blue bell is not conducive to a good weight loss plan

Go to health & fitness section and start recording weight loss and post it every week..making yourself accountable in public does help. Start off with only walking and build up to 4 miles, 4 times a week and you will see favorable results. Oh, yes....DO NOT eat anything past 6:30pm at night and drink lots of water.
