Got a PM in to David right now asking about Xi5's and the MK's with spot lock. Maybe he hasn't had time to respond because he's been busy getting you set up.

Cool, you will love the Xi5.

If you have any issue with it hitting your trailer or the dock because of how far it sticks out or not overly impressed with the small footprint of the mounting area please take a look at the LiftSaver Trolling Motor Mount at www.liftsavertmmount.com. It also helps cover up any old holes that may be exposed or if you don't like where the control head ended up (past the side of the boat).

PM or call me if I can answer any questions for you.

Ron

David just moved into a new shop and has been having a heck of a time getting all his phone and internet services working correctly. Please be patient or try a different means to contact him. I know personally that he feels bad about the situation and is trying very hard to get back to everyone.

The new shop is very nice though. Stop by sometime and check it out.

Love my Xi5 and cannot imagine fishing without it. Anchor feature is awesome. LOTS more fishing time.

Only complaint is at very little cost could have added di capable transducer

I added shield saver for my Helix 7 on bow..

I had issues with the quick release mount so I went to the scrapyard and paid $6 for a big plate of aluminum. I cut it out in the shape of the bow of my boat and mounted it in between my boat and the quick release mount. It is much more stable and cheap to make. If you have an issue with it hitting your trailer when you load it, then Ron's Liftsaver mount is the only fix on the market and is very well made. Mine loads and unloads without any issues so I opted for the cheaper option of mounting it and getting a much larger mounting footprint than the 3"x5" quick release mount.

Do you guys have any static on your sonar on the front when I run my transducer down the xi5 only when its on and running it gives me a bunch of static on my Lowrance. Does anyone have a way around that?

I fought interference for a long time. I tried all sorts of things. Here is what I use now. I can't say it's 100% gone, but it's 90% gone.

It has taken me a little while to get used to using this thing, but fighting that interference was making me crazy. Good luck.

Hey David. No problem. I got your PM. Thanks! Bad part is now I have even more questions than the eight I already asked. I'll give you a call to make it easier. frkazoid
