For any of you fellow Crappie Anglers that do not I wanted to give Pepop a "Shout Out"!

Especially, for one jig in particular in his collection.

That jig is his #9 Premium Hand Tied "Grapefruit Limeade" a customization of his Famous Grape Limeade which is very well known on Lake Palestine.

Grapefruit Limeade has a "Pink Head".

Let me tell you...I have been absolutely slaying them on his Grapefruit Limeade and Grape Limeade for over a year.

Truth be told...for me the Grapefruit Limeade has been the clear winner in my boat. It must be that Pink head.

Grapefruit Limeade has become my Number 1 go to Crappie Bait and I could honestly probably have nothing but that one jig in my tackle box and never need another color 99% of the time I fish.

It has performed that well for me personally.
The Crappie love it or hate it, but it fills my Live Well every trip.
I am really coming to love Feather Jigs more than Plastics.

I have been using 1/8 ounce and they are $1.25 a piece.

Grapefruit Limeade is a "Clear and Present Danger" to Crappie every time it hits the water. I am constantly yelling instead of "Fish-On" it is "HOG-ON".

Yes Pepop makes some mighty fine jigs for sure. I still have a few he made years ago. Ever have an online friend you never met? Years later? He has made his mark here and helped a lot to get started tying and has supplied us with some quality jigs to play with. A quality hand tied jig sure makes you feel the guy who tied the bait did so so you could take that bait anywhere and be successful. I know Vernon does

Vernon is the man when it comes to tying a great jig! I have several he made special for me.

By far the best jigs I have ever used! Grape limeaid has been my go-to for several years now. I would hate to try and count the number of Palestine fat girls it's put in my boat. Thanks again Vern!!

Careful now don't want him to be getting the big head on us, but he does tie a pretty good jig.

Not a knock on Pepop at all but I sent him an email two weeks ago via his website (Contact Me link) with an order (Grape Limeade was definitely on the list) and I haven't heard back. I included my contact information. Again, probably user error (and NOT Pepop) but has anyone else tried an initial order and it not go through? Is there a different link on the website I should be using instead of the Contact Me??

I had him make me some jigs with a new Copper body and Chartreuse tails and Copper with Blue and they both worked real well but the Copper/Chartreuse is a killer. Works on Fork, Palestine, and LOP so far. Now my #1 choice.

That's the way I initiated my order, was pm. I had ckd my stash , before the spawn and i was,low, he had my 3 doz ready in 2 days. My palestine fav is a royal blue with chartrues tail. Will not use any thing else.

No big head here! I'm humbled and just grateful to be able to provide a jig that performs well for a lot of folks! I must say, the Grape Limeade is ALWAYS tied on 1 of my rods and 9 times out of 10 it's the rod I pick up first. THANK YOU ALL for the cudo's!

We ended the day with 34 today. Not bad for such a windy day.

Grapefruit Limeade and Grape Limeade was all we used. We tied up a double and had one of each on.
