So went to deploy my talon out in the yard tonight and it went down about 6 inches and got stuck. I was able to pull it the rest of the way out and it was still really sticky. I rinsed it with a hose the best I could and mud daubers flew out of the case.....which means... yes my talon has mud daubers in it. I need to take the case off to get it cleaned out. Anyone done this? I can find anything on it. Pretty easy? Thanks!

This is a 12' talon. Not sure if that matters.

This site here has helped me a lot(I have 8'ers) with the parts diagrams and all as its really detailed. Maybe it will for you. Use the serial number to get the "year" of your Talon and then click on the corresponding diagram. They have quick shipping as well if you need anything.

The cables in mine jumped their track on the drum and came off. It has proven to be a nightmare. Techs at local repair shops say it takes a while to finagle through the tight spaces to make repairs.

Be very careful pulling the mounted control pad off, there a 3 tiny plastic "tit's" behind this panel that activate the 3 buttons. I was installing a new light on top of my Talon and this panel moved enough to drop all 3 buttons out....and only found 2 of them. Of course the installation video for this new light never mentioned this and the control panel when the side plate comes off to route the wiring is not totally held into place during this process.

Same deal here. I have the fob to work the talon, but one of the "tit's" is lost forever.

Have you been able to replace?

Well I've got it making the full deploy/stow but it seems really slow when it deploys. I don't want to have to take it apart and end up losing parts or messing something up...

Try spraying some WD-40 on it while it's deployed. I took the top cover off and sprayed cable and And wheel it rides on. Helped mine

+1
I would flush it several times & spray some silicon spray into the guides & on the shafts before I attempt to disassemble.
