Guys I will finally get to fish for a couple of days in TX for the first time in a couple of years. I normally go to Texoma as it's 20 minutes away. But now I'm looking to expand my horizons. What is the best lake going right now in north Texas? Hoping to find something this week that is not high pressured if possible. More than likely will fish during the week and not weekend.

Also what's the going pattern right now? Like I said it's been a while and I don't know a lot of the north Texas lakes well. Any advice would be great.

Crappie seem to be biting well at the moment

Lavon has been pretty hot for awhile. bass and crappie.

Bridgeport for crappie, sandies and hybrids.

If I lived 20 minutes from Texoma I would be fishing Texoma

It' my favorite lake to fish other than power plant lakes in the winter.

Lake Bonham doesn't get much pressure.

I will be in a boat. Trxoma isn't bad but the size just isn't there or hasn't been in the past.

Lake Worth for catfish. They might not have the biggest, but they taste the best IMO.
