Need a new rod and I have $100 to spend at Academy. I'm wanting a Heavy action rod for pitching and flipping. Which one would you choose. Thanks

Veritas because Cabelas has them for $69 right now and Academy should price match.

I agree. I just got a 7'6" mh and it feels more like a heavy to me.

used both many times. duckett gets my vote. very very sensitive and super light. I used them for my bottom contact baits

I used to say Duckett until I snapped two Micro Magics on hook sets....
I won't touch them now.

I got a veritas 2 7'6" mh for Carolina rig from Walmart for $55. I think it was listed wrong on their website.

Veritas by far , I've owned both and duckett feels too frail imo. Ducketts are great for cranks spinners and traps

Don't know about the ghost but had my two Veritas snap in the last year. Broke the last one last week at Fairfield. Use it for Carolina rigging and on first cast, it snapped right below the reel. Now, abu's return policy has been great but I won't purchase another one.
