Got out for about 4 hrs yesterday. Bite was pretty good, just a bunch of shorts. Caught about 30 with 10 keepers. All keepers were females, with eggs. Went back to salt & pepper color as the shad are spawning. It was the ticket. Jig size didn't matter as they bit every thing I dropped. They were on piles in 13-15 feet of water. I caught the two biggest off the top of the piles. First time I've really given that a chance. I've always gone to the edges or into the pile. Very windy so that kept me on the south end. East and west sides were about the same.
