Why in the hell don't they just make these out of steel cable to begin with? And why in the hell do they make them so hard to get to to replace WHEN not if they break? UGH!!!!!!!

My new one came with a cable. An nice surprise. I actually have about 90ft of heavier cord left from years of retying mk handles. Started off as a 250' spool.
It was annoying. And they always break stowing. And early in the day.

Mine snapped today in the down position of course. Snapped way back in the housing. Was finally able to reach it with some needle nose pliars. Needless to say did not fish all the spots I wanted to today.

I had cable and the D handle on my Fortrex, liked that combo a lot... and then I went Ulterra. No more stowing and deploying

Ace Hardware has the "THMarine" D handle, or an exact clone of it, in their lawn mower section for $3. And the steel cable and crimps costs about $5. An easy and cheap alternative.

I have always used the g-force, but after seeing the Big-D I will be making a switch in the future.

Like 3 to 4 dollars to buy from home depot or lowes, same amount of time to install.

Put some shrink wrap over the rope where it rubs when deploying or stowing. The rope will last way longer.

I broke mine last week. Had to take the cord out of the hood of my jacket and tie it in there. Actually used it a few times since then and it's holding up but I gotta put something stronger on there
