Allow a dad to boast for a moment. I know this isn't a crappie report, but...
Since this girl likes to fish almost as much as she loves to act, I thought I would share.
Last Thursday my daughter and the rest of the cast and crew from The Colony HS won the UIL 5A State Championship for One Act Play! woot
Erica also won an individual award for All-Star Cast! coolio
So, I'm the proud pappa of a State Champ!
Kinda neat to see a kid go from reeling in crappie to performing on the big stage. wink
Oh, and they have one last encore performance this Friday at 7pm at The Colony HS, if you're interested.
Now that her OAP season is over, maybe we can get back to the thump! thumb

My daughter (about to turn 17 made NHS and Merit Scholar for top 10 in class) is keeping me proud as well. She fished with me through about 8 years old, then girly girl mamma spoiled her and she has no interest in "stinky fish or places" as she says. crying rolleyes

That's awesome Xpress!! My oldest son is in musical theater and has competed in OAP the last three years. It takes a lot of guts for those kids to get up on stage and act their heart out. People don't understand the amount of work and time they put into making a production. Always makes me proud to watch him. Congrats on the win! cheers
