Anyone have any info on this lake? I just recently moved to the area and it's only 5 miles from me. Looks like a decent lake to kill some time on in the evenings. I saw some boats this evening running across it so I assumes it's safe to zip across?

Welcome to Waxahachie. The lake here is really a fun one to fish. You could start on the docks and points and even work up the creek. There's also a few areas that should have some grass starting to grow. If you get on navionics you'll see 2 very shallow spots that are near the main lake. At full pool they're hard to see, but they're not something you want to run into

. Other than those two spots the main lake is clear to run.

I used to fish Waxahachie a lot about 10 years ago. They used to have a working mans tournament there. I fished near the overflow and near the pipe line also where the creek comes into the lake from I 35. Good Luck

I fish it quite a bit during the week. Well, I did. Not much time lately. I have pulled a couple nice ones out of there and seen many more at weigh-ins on Thursday nights. Good luck!
