Debating about purchasing a pr of Maui Jim sunglasses for fishing after my next eye exam. Cost is high but their prescription lenses seem pretty advanced. I'd need progressive lenses. Also they have lenses in different materials and finishes. Any reviews or opinions would be appreciated.

I have worn them for over 15 years. They will last. I haven't tried any other. I get about 6 years out of a pair. Before i break something that not covered by warranty. There prescription service has been the best i have used. They will have it right the first time. Unlike some of the others i have used for plain glasses.

I paid ~$800 for my pair of Maui Jim polarized progressive bifocal Crizal bla bla bla. Got them at the same time as clear glasses, and both have the same prescription. I could see very well with the clear lenses, but I was not pleased with my vision with the Maui Jim's. I complained to the optometrist and he said that he had a pair too and it took him a while to "adjust" to them. I can only think that "adjust" means getting used to not seeing as well as I should be able. I never "adjusted".

My mother got her prescription MJs last year and loves them. She ordered her's through Sam's Club and got them a little cheaper.

They are phenomenal. Great set of shades, for sure. I like them and Kaenons. They are the only glasses I fish with. Pure joy.
