 Looking for a good guide for Bay fishing in South Padre Island.

Any suggestions? I have never done it but hoping for Reds caught bass fishing style or whatever is the best fishing in mid May in the bay. That's when we are going.

Not sure he is still guiding, but give Herb Bode a call @ 956) 501 3832 cell or 956) 761 2642 home. I have fished with him several times in the past and would recommend him without reservation. He has been at SPI bay fishing for many years and if retired will give you a solid reference as he did for me this past summer when I fished Rockport.

Ernesto Cisneros is the guide with the best redfish rep. I've never gone with him but would like to. Capt. Andrew is generally on the forum we went with him last fall. Conditions were tough but he did pretty good. Herb is retired we went with him a few times. Herb's son is supposed to be pretty good and still guiding there but can't recall his first name. SPI has more guides than you can count.

I'm still around! Just bought a new boat and do more sight fishing. June is a great month weather is better but hotter get out early come home early. Let me know if you need any info on a trip.
