Ok so i dont know much about crappie, just that they are fun to catch and good to eat. We caught a few Friday night and Gar1970 caught some with a stripe down there back but only one with a stripe was a keeper. I know theres white crappie and black crappie. Just curious about the stripe.

The magnolia crappie also has a black stripe but is sterile. These are likely blacknose crappie. We have tons of them in East Texas lakes. I think they fight harder than black or white crappie.

To whom much is given, much is required.

I've seen these come out of LOP quite often and wondered if that is just a genetic thing. Only thing I was sure of was they still tasted great
