I took the talon completely apart and it is as clean as a new one. When you push the down button the relay will click 3 times and the shaft will move around 1 inch every click. It will go all the way down if you keep clicking the button. When you push the up button it comes up without any problem. Everything is clean and the cable routing is fine.

More than likely it's the board, mine acted similar and they fixed it here at the lake this morning. Didn't take long at all, you may call MK if you don't have a dealer close and they will send one, took about 15 minutes to fix.

Put on a new board this morning and same thing.

My portside goes down maybe three feet and stops, seems if I lay it down hit down button on talon it will deploy all the way. Then remote button will work for a while.

I'd call MK customer service.

Sounds like your battery in almost dead

Had a problem with one of mine not deploying all the way about a year ago. I extended the talon all the way out, while out of the water, and sprayed lubricant all over the talon and it solved the problem.

If it was mine I would have tossed it in the scrap pile.. lol. The battery is good. it does it even with the motor off the talon will call minnkota Monday a/m. Thanks for all the feedback.

Push deploy(down) button 2x's quickly?? Thats how my Talon remote works. Dont know about yours. If I only push it once it does what youve described.

Does it work if you double click the button on the Talon? Mine have never given me any trouble. And I use them a lot.

Come to think of it this^^^^^^^^^ is right on the money, mine does the exact same thing.

MK C/S has been outstanding to me when called upon..

Me too. Only contacted them once because a Terrova I bought didn't have the foot control in the box. They didn't even question me. Took my info and mailed me a new one.
