I am headed to Fork in the morning for personal business and decided I'm taking the boat if I'm going that far to make the trip worthwhile in multiple ways.
I've only fished Fork once MANY years ago and don't remember any of it. If I'm launching at the 515 ramp, what is close by that I can spend pretty much all day in and be on some fish? Are they still on beds st this stage or do we have some in post-spawn too?

White Oak is right across from 515 and you can spend all day in there but I ain't gonna promise you'll catch fish. If you're not familiar, run across the lake, turn left under the bridge and White Oak is the second cove on the right. Good luck and yes the fish are still on beds but don't expect to be able to see them.

I assume nearest White Oak. That's where I'm meeting up with the guy. Near the 515 public ramp.

Question is should I just launch at the public ramp or pay to launch somewhere else? I'll be by myself....

Nothing wrong with the public ramp. White Oak or Birch would be good choices.

Winds are suppose to be 20-30 out of the south tomorrow. The ride across the lake might be pretty rough and you could only fish the south side of White Oak. Might consider launching at Little Mustang or Williams instead. Both coves run east and west and are somewhat protected from the south wind. There will be some 3 ft. rollers if the wind is that high.

Got that off Wfaa weather. Weather bug says south @ 13 by 7am, @ 12 it's ssw @ 20 and by 3pm it's s @ 22. Either way I think Little Mustang or Williams will be your best bet. Sorry.

Keep a chatterbait tied on and head up into Birch, I promise you that you can't fish it all in one day..and a few big girls take up residence year-round in there fish

I'll stick to little mustang and Williams then......If the winds are like they say then Birch might not be so easy to fish.....

Chatterbait and flipping baits. Think there is a crappie tourney this weekend as well so it may be crowded. Who am I kidding. Fork on the weekend is always crowded.
