I want to learn more about Ray Roberts and how to get around it without loosing a lower unit. I don't mind hiring a guide, but I don't need to fish. I just need to learn my way around more. So who in the area knows the lake better than anyone else? If you had to pick one guy to show you around, who would it be? Thanks!

Joe Slab practically lives on that lake. That said, crappie secrets are usually held close.

Heck, I've already got every Corp BP on the lake marked. I just honestly want to learn my way around the lake better and safer. Parts of it are like Fork...just a busted lower unit waiting to happen.

This is just me, but I'll go with Cliff Spindle. There are a few others as well, but can't remember their names.

Preach it. I think everyone is guarded (understandable), but a majority of us aren't looking for secrets or GPS coords.

Just take off up Indian Creek at full speed, you will learn where the prob busters are in no time.

In all honestly, everyone that guides is going to know the lake pretty well. But I like to think that I know the lake pretty well. I know where to run and not to run. Hands down the best person to learn the entire lake is Danny Golden of Git Bit guide service. He's bass, but knows every creek.

I will testify on Cody's driving skills. Cody told my Son to tell me, "You might not want to look", as we speed through the trees with out the help of a GPS. When I did look up, a path appeared right between the trees. His lake knowledge is tremendous.

I have spent hours up in that water and I can honestly say that I have never had any trouble. Except for breaking a trolling motor prop into a thousand pieces. And a shear pin on my outboard. And knocking a blade off my outboard prop. But other than that easy peezy. LOL
