I'm planning on going to lake Somerville on Saturday. I had never been there before and want to know what to expect. Anybody know what the water clarity is like, bottom material, depth, baits, location? Not asking for your spot just a general area. Any advice is appreciated.
You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Water is pretty good. I fished around Welch park last weekend and did well fishing around standing timber and cane grass. lots of catfish and white bass hallow chasing bait. Crappie bite wanted slow presentation with jigs. Had minnow but caught cats and whitebass on them.

(I figured out how to catch them on the brush and looking to learn how to catch them in shallower water)
