Planning on taking my kayak to Somerville this Saturday with a friend. Haven't ever been there and don't know what to expect. Anybody know what the clarity is like, bottom material, weeds, deep, shallow? Any advice is appreciated.

Hit the standing reeds in the shallows. I had a friend fish there recently and absolutely destroyed them on frogs. Caught maybe two fish under 5 lbs out of many! Water is murky, try spinnerbaits and plastics. Best of luck!
