I had Adam and his son Noah out on Lewisville for some blue cat fishing on Sunday. We waited out the heavy lightning in the morning then made our way out to drift for some blue cats. The fish were biting despite the weather and they caught 11 cats on the first drift. Unfortunately they were soaked to the bone and Noah was shaking he was so cold. They had dry clothes in their truck at the ramp so we swung by and they changed clothes and we hit the 35 bridge where it was nice and dry to fish for some crappie for a few hours. The bite was slow and they caught probably 20 fish but only one keeper. Ended the trip around 11:00 and cleaned their fish while they warmed up in the truck. Never saw another boat at all. I cancelled my afternoon trip. Needed to dry out myself.

Monday I had Tommy and his son Chris out on Lewisville chasing blue cats as well. Chris was in town from Idaho. The fish were biting pretty good most of the morning. Tommy's wife Linda brought them some hamburgers for lunch and she jumped in the boat as well. They ended up with 61 cats and a hybrid. Chris had a nice 34" slot we released and Linda hung another nice fish that pulled the hook. Great day on the lake and I was just happy that Tommy could share such a great trip with his son. Chris caught so many fish I thought Tommy was gonna throw him overboard a few times.
