Greetings, I've been following the forum for a couple of years and decided to join in the fun.I bought a Ranger 188C last year, first boat I've owned for decades. So I'm new to fishing, boating, and most of all, catching.

Thanks Red, I lived in the metromess for ~20 years and fished Ray Bob out of a jon boat right when it opened. Still love the lake and I head that way every chance I get.

 to the Forum! Guess you got some catching up to do...feel free to jump into any discussion! Around here, the only dumb question is the one you had and failed to ask! Doesn't matter the question, just ask and you will get three types of answers...1) Good, 2) Great, 3) Funny!....Ask the RIGHT question and the thread will take a life of its own!

Thanks Red, I lived in the metromess for ~20 years and fished Ray Bob out of a jon boat right when it opened. Still love the lake and I head that way every chance I get. I'm still here unfortunately due to my job, kids in HS (Keller ISD), and my wife is a city wallflower. Me? I prefer country and quiet.   When the time comes, and the kids are off to college, and I'm semi-retired, I'll live more out in the country just outside the "Metromess".

this is a fantastic group. Like Crapicat said, the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask! Lots of information on here. If I could catch fish, I might would be able to answer some questions! Fish hard!
