You could just take me out with you and I could film you. They have many capabilities... gps will hold them in place while you are hands free. you can also have a feature that is called ground station where you can pre-program waypoints and it'll fly on pre-programmed routes.

They are pretty easy to fly once you get the hang of it. They are scary to fly though because when you've got a couple thousand $$$ invested in it, you're going to be a little nervous while flying.

They aren't hard to fly once you have about an hour or so on one. It's a lot easier to be risky when it's your buddies $1500 in the air. If you completely stop flying it they stop and stay in a hover mode....we're going to attempt to get some shot of us shooting skeet with his. Should be interesting.

After reading the article I see that they were prohibited from using them in "search operations". I can see where that could lead to problems but what I'm using my UAV- multi rotor aircraft is for a personal hobby of mine and that is Aerial Cinematography. When they want to regulate this hobby just tell me what the rules are and I will abide by them.

How long does the UAV stay airborne?
I take it the Battery Packs are somewhat hefty?
Cool Videos, I have watched them all.

With my current setup, Each flight can last approximately 8 minutes. That is a long time to be in the air though, in my opinion. I have 3 batteries that take about 1 hour to charge. The batteries are relatively light though. They are lithium polymer 2200 mah. The recent breakthrough in battery technology is what has allowed UAV's to become more practical. These batteries put out a lot of power very quickly!
