I have always been interested in people's story and how they made it to the big dance. Their is usually a good story behind all of theses good young men and the sacrifices they made to get their.

I would ask how much he relies on past knowledge of the lake vs current condition does he fall into the "well it worked last year" trap? Also on a different subject how far in advance do they know where (what State) they are going to for MLF? Do they just get a plane ticket in the mail the week of departure? Thanks, Bill

Ask him if the local 'pro staffers' who are sponsored by the same companies get with him before the tournament and provide info like waypoints and lure selection.

There's some strong feelings on this subject. One pro I talked to at the Classic told me to compare MLF results for certain pros to their results in the Elite Series. He specifically mentioned an angler, but I wont mention him here. Pretty obvious, if you look at results.

seriously though, how do you show up to one of those deals and not have a single crankbait on board? that would be a good followup question.
