I just did a comparison of a tx. rig and a shaky head with a zoom trick worm in my swimming pool, and the tx. rig looked more lively than the one on the owner shaky head. Who knows which the fish like better on any given day though.

Picasso Tungsten Shakedown My personal favorite is the Shakedown by Picasso. This shaky head is made of tungsten so you can feel the bottom and your bites better. It has a good hook on it and it won't bend out on big fish. It's only like a dollar more than standard lead shaky heads, so I'm not breaking the bank by any means.

Who knows which the fish like better on any given day though. wrong worm wrong hook? The trick worm with no salt and a round bend shaky head will stay upright. The EWG shaky head keeps the weight back too far and the salted trick worm sinks and falls over. Change your presentation and report back.

I just used a standard trick worm because that is what I had to use. I don't have any that float. How do you know which trick worms float?
The Owner shaky head I used has a round bend hook. It is exactly like the one pictured in the link posted above.

Ever use a Biffle Bug? It's got the opening in the rear of the bait which holds air. The folks that make the rattlesnake make a worm like that now. It has a slit in the tail to trap air. Helps keep it up. No matter which Shakey head I use, it must have the center pin on the screw attachment. If it doesn't, I don't buy them. Life is too short to try and center a worm on one of those things. I have never gotten one centered right so I threw away all of the ones I already bought.

I don't know how you ever get the worm to center on that screw head without the center pin!
