Gonna head out tomorrow for a full day of fishing. What is this rain and cool front going to do to the fish? Haven't decided on where to go either. Eagle mountain, Joe Pool or Granbury is on the list. Looking to throw moving baits, will slow down with plastics if needed.

Post cold front conditions can be very tough. Bass may not be in mood to chase food. Slow down your presentation and target pockets in grass or flip or pitch timber if your on a lake that has it. Go lighter on worm weights or bulk up your jig trailers to slow the sink rate of your jig. Bulking up also helps increase the amount of water you bait moves which will help bass find your bait if water is stained or muddy. Drop shotting would be a good technique to try. Try finesss or dropshot worms in Tomato red. Your probably going to have to scrounge for bites.

I am planning on going to JP tomorrow. It's going to be tough, the water will be muddy but you can't catch them on the couch

I had a GREAT day today. I started around 12 noon. It was still coming down pretty good, and windy, it the bite was crazy. I stayed on the lower end of the lake in cleaner water. Tomorrow, I will flip dark baits really tight to cover....REALLY REALLY tight to cover. It will be good tomorrow too.

Joe Pool....from 11-7

The first hour was spent in the truck ...hunkered down. Waiting for the storm to pass

I haven't been on Joe Pool since it was flooded last year. Will they be tight to the cover in the timber tomorrow?

Fishing Flat Creek on Palestine tomorrow afternoon. Will report back tomorrow night.

Not just timber...grass line is where I will start. Grass lines on Pool mean shallow and more like weed clumps than grass lines.

Well it was pretty rough on us, only managed 2 bass. We did find a school of white bass and probly caught about 50 of those. Mostly dinks, but it was still fun. A lot better than working.

Two bites, two fish, one bass, one crappie. Both on Lucky shade in three feet of water. Fished from 3:30 to 7:30. Tried topwater, spinner bait, jig, and fluke before giving up and fishing crank bait.
