I have a 1986 18'4" Champion Bass B. -Ive taken care of this boat to keep it in good condition. Was getting ready to adjust the coverage with State Farm. When the renewal of premium came around; I called to get a new quote on some changes I wanted on the policy. The Agent and her team would not work with me unless I put $$ down to work on a new Quote I had been with This "State Farm" group for over 30 years with my policy . Anyhow I said Adios and called my Allstate agent who I have coverage on vehicles-- Home etc. They informed me they couldnt insure a boat with the age of mine. But - They would look for a group that they write policies thru. They have been very helpful and found a group called "American Modern insurance" ? Has anyone heard of this group ? The policy is set up for agreed replacement and is less expensive than my old State Farm policy. Any feedback is appreciated.
