This time of year, I like to T-rig w/a 1/16 weight. Works great for the post spawners. Stephen Fatheree posted a cool video about the technique a few years ago.

I prefer Yum Dingers, for half price, if you throw them both in a swimming pool, I dont think the action difference is worth it. I do a split shot setup a lot, twitch twitch pause retrieve. Like a 4/0 offset hook vs. EWG, switched a couple of years ago and I feel my hookup ratio is better.
