As the title says, I've never really used them, How do you fish them, trig, wacky style, etc.

I hear they are great, just thought I'd see what the forum says..

usually weightless.
throw it out. let it shimmy and sink.
watch the line.

In for responses. I always hear how good they are and I have tried a TX rig senko a bunch of times and no dice. Jigs out-fish senko everyday of the week up here in MN.

Pretty much. My daughter can sit on the back of the boat, dragging a senko and playing on her phone, and catch plenty.

Wacky or texas style. Weightless. Or on a weighted t-rig. Or on a shakyhead. Or half of one on a shaky head.

For me, wacky, let it fall on slack line, count to 10 Mississippi, raise and let it fall again. 80 percent of the bites are on the initial fall.

Last weekend caught a 6.5 and won a club tourney because my partner was throwing it weightless texas rigged. It's killer on grass beds, tends to back up at a 45 degree angle. Same thing though. Let fall on slack line, long pause, repeat.

^^^

I mostly T-rig with a pegged weight, but all of the above are good.

Wacky, they cant stand that neutral buoyancy!! Son caught a 3 and two 5s from the local ponds here yesterday. Watermelon blk flake. I am on the Grande pocket rockets now, but I always have these, they can catch them when others cant.

Senkos dont catch fish. Move on. Try hand grenades or a net.

Normal worm style works best. but you can rig them up wacky style. Try various retrieval speeds and movements. I have had luck at popping them like a top water across weeds and letting them settle at times in open areas. Just hang on!

Expensive but always a go-to... other cheaper options are Yum Dinger or Big Bite Baits Trick Stick
Depending on the strike, the Senko is easily torn. IMO Dingers and Trick Sticks last a little longer

Always had luck in a 5" watermelon, or green pumpkin/watermelon laminate

Weightless Texas rig, EWG 3/0, rig worm as straight as possible

2 ways I fish: Weightless these sink with a slow, very subtle wobble
let sink, slowly raise rod up, let sink or
let sink, 1 short quick jerk followed by a second slightly longer quick jerk, let sink

weightless tx rig. toss it next to something and let it fall on a slack line. Watch the line. Seldom will you feel them take it. You might see the line jump, but seems it most often just swims off. Most are caught on the initial fall. No bite on the fall, let it marinate. Don't move it. Just let it sit there for as long as you can take it, then just barely move it. No takers, give it a couple of twitches and let it sink again. Still nothing, move to the next object, and repeat. These things work best when you do the least.

Man, this sounds brutal. Sounds like it catches a lot of fish but when you don't know the lake or where the fish are at, this would not be a fast technique to get bit.

It is a slow, finesse technique. It doesn't cover water fast, but it will catch fish when other presentations won't.
