I can't say enough about Reclending. Ken, Marty, Nick and the Ladies made this new to me boat loan as seamless as I have ever had. Very quick to fund and a far better rate than anywhere else. Since I use Bob at Worldwide Marine Underwriters getting the Insurance binder to them was taken over by Laurie at Worldwide. Bob and Ken used to work together awhile back so they work hand in hand.

I wasn't impressed at all. I was told they would get back with me yesterday and I have had to call them back twice to find out I was approved. And I have never heard of having to pay a lender the sales tax when we pay it in OK when we tag it.

They collected my tax for Texas and took care of all the registration for me. Love it!

Something was lost in the mix here. Lenders do not collect sales tax, states do. We are responsible to the lender to be sure sales tax and lien work is done. We collect and remit sales tax (if required by each state) and do title work for a couple reasons. State and lender requirements are the main reason. Also, taking care of it instead of the customer spending a few hours in a state office (or two) is a good service.
We do not rely on sending buyers money out and HOPE it is done correctly and timely.

best loan experience I have ever had was with reclending. i've had two with them, and sold a boat with them being the lender for the guy buying mine. unfortunately, they sold my loan to MB FINANCIAL, which are arseholes to deal with.

When i re powered Ken, Nick at re lending handled the deal. Cant say enough great things about them. The loan was done threw MB Financial. I financed for 5 years. Never had a problem with either. But i am also three years ahead on payments. Hope to have it paid off this year.

Even if you are out of state, TX dealers are required to collect tax, pay it, and give you a receipt. You then take that receipt to your state to offset tax due in your state. Your state tax may be higher or lower. But we still have to withhold TX tax. If we don't, we can lose our license and be fined.
