Trust me they are doing VERY VERY WELL!!! They aint flying all over the world doing these videos for money that wont even cover the phone bill and internet. If you watch their videos you will see they are always on the go and airline tickets, rent cars, guides, etc. don't come free. Funny. LunkersTV had his channel hacked sometime last year, the hackers then posted a video to his page with a screen shot of his youtube revenue (straight from youtubes website) it was something like $15,000 for that MONTH... I think hes doing just fine paying for his internet bill, not to mention the money he gets from sponsors.

There are at least 6 fishing Youtubers out there right now making over $70,000 a year each in cash sponsor endorsements. A couple are much higher than that. This doesn't account for what they are getting from Youtube itself or referral links. With ties to E-commerce, it will be easy for companies to measure how these channels are converting people to buyers.
It is a pretty good living for people who are mostly in their 20s and fishing for a living.
As the market saturates with more channels, people will start to migrate towards quality content, some will stay for the cheap laughs they are getting on a few channels.
It is interesting to see the pro's getting caught up on it. Their channels are growing quickly and I find myself watching them rather than people who have no "skins" so to speak.
Six?! There are about 20 just on here. So the ratio of guys making a living on you tube fishing is about the same as the ratio of guys making big bucks on the Elite and Flw pro trails. I wouldn't recommend that career route for my kid. If they would just bend their cap bills a little and lose the words "dude, like, pig, monster and crushed it" I could watch it a little more. Sadly, the generation that uses the words that trigger your anger is the next wave of anglers, T54. If you watched the Classic weigh-in, Dave Mercer was using that millennial-angler slang nonstop. It is what it is. The call-up music for the anglers isnt Hank or Waylon. It's some R&B artists most of you guys have never heard of, and likely never will. Basically, the industry knows where the majority of the money will come from. It's these bandwagon riding, gullible, flat-bill hat wearing 15-25 year olds. The ones that buy a Yellow Rubber ducky with treble hooks because they saw a YouTube video of a catfish smashing one.

Gman ain't on JLs level either no Classic Dumbest post of 2017 so far on TFF So I hear Pro after Pro say the Classic is the biggest stage and event...So Gman wouldn't trade AOY for a Classic? BS Ask any of the pros and they will tell you the Classic is the easiest tournament to win. Only ~ 50 competitors and you can swing for the fence because there aren't any points involved and no one cares about 2nd place. Plus, after Day 1, at least half the field has been mathematically eliminated, so now you only have to beat 25 guys. And only over three days rather than four. AOY is MUCH HARDER to win than a Classic. However, most will say they'd rather win the Classic. It's the world championship and garners far more attention from the general public and sponsors than does AOY.

Some really interesting threads on the TFF now. This is one of them. If LunkersTV is making 15K a month on youtube videos, I would be SHOCKED. There is a big difference between .50/1000 views and 15K a month.

If those numbers are correct he would have to be getting 30 million views a month.

I really enjoy all the you tubers. The only down side is realizing just how awful a bass fisherman I really am.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

If those numbers are correct he would have to be getting 30 million views a month. either he's getting 30,000,000 views, or his sponsors are paying him more than 95% of the elites sponsors are paying them to make up the difference. If they are, they should just take out an ad on YouTube and save some money. What are the odds?
