Since you seem to have me figured out why don't you put your money where your mouth is and let's have a fish off... You can say my YouTube videos are "look at me" but I am confused on how a video of strictly other people fishing says "look at me" I will meet you at a lake neither of us has ever fished and may the best fisherman win. I posted a video a couple months back walking around a youth livestock show talking fishing with young men and y'all ripped that video apart saying it was a waste of your life watching it. I can't speak for all youtubers and there are some that no doubt are look at me. I however just love to fish and share tips and fishing trips with whoever cares to watch. If you read comments I share what lures I use and the lakes I fish.

Relax. Go do a video and post it in the video section and I promise you no one will gripe

This is becoming a recurring theme. Poster post videos, people comment on post, poster gets mad, poster asked someone to meet at lake, post gets locked up. We wait on next post. LOL HA LOL

Make sure all photos go in the correct section too or... maybe read the part of the rules where it says to post pics and videos directly related to bass fishing can be posted in the bass section. Just cause we didn't write it with your grandmas typewriter doesn't mean it doesn't belong here.

This response, I think, provides the closest/truest insight as to the problem that some people on here have for posting fishing videos, without actually coming right out and saying it. (some but not all) Guides and tournament anglers are by nature the most secretive about success on the water since it most directly affects their wallets first and the notion that videos might 1) create unwanted exposure to productive areas on home/tournament waters or 2) provide specific information that is needed to capitalize on those areas once discovered, drives them crazy in much the same way that the word of mouth/text does on here.

The same type of informational exchanges took place long before the days of on-line media, just not on as wide a scale. People need to come to grips with the fact that the information age has compressed just about every aspect of the sport and there is no such thing as "your spot" and in all reality people were likely fishing "your spot" long before you were, maybe just not as many.

Some people take pictures of other people's fish and say they caught them. That is look at me as it gets.
