Let's be for real, if I wasn't on the forum I would have no idea about this light policy that you guys have made so how would the average fisherman know? As a matter of fact I've fished plenty of tournaments where people left their lights on and not a peep was spoken about it. If it's that important talk to tpw and see about getting a sign put up.

My Chevy truck has the same feature, and the headlight switch has an option to turn them off. Check your owners manual.

I feel that I have done more than my fair share to educate regarding lights and other types of degenerate ramp behavior. Sorry bout your trailer, some people should be beaten with a stick.

There is no "policy", it is just common sense and common courtesy.

Try fishing Dunlap during the summer. You cant. That lake is a circus during the summer months.

If headlights at a boat ramp get under your skin that bad....I'd hate to be in a boat with you. I bet the slightest little thing, like getting hung up or a backlash, would be enough to set off a seizure.

Man.....just go fishing.

As for the trailer slap? Inexcusable. it is a hit and run. Isn't that a felony?

We are more regulated by Big Brother than ever before...from light bulbs, toilets to the gas we buy and the list goes on and on and ON.

We don't need anymore signs, regulations or laws in my opinion. We need common sense, common courtesy, the UPBRINGING and ability to take responsibility when we make a mistake.

I never want to hit, bump or tap another trailer or truck but if and when I do, I will own up and make it right...simple as that.

Some people just do not know that leaving their lights on are causing problems, they are folks that maybe only launch their boats a couple of times a year in the dark, as far as the trailer deal, that sucks.

true , but now we arent only regulated by big brother we are regulated also by sensitive people who will find a problem in everything else and who expect everyone else to know what bothers them even though you have no idea about their own personal written rules.I can completely understand the trailer deal thats a no brainer , but to expect everyone to know about turning their lights off if its not posted is unrealistic.

So, you have never tried backing down a multitude lane ramp in the dark and been blinded by head lights. Then you think wow, if they turned off their lights I could see. Then it occurs to you wow, I'll turn mine off so as not to blind others!!!!! Someone along time ago figured this out, I would go so far as to say do unto others type deal. That makes it a sin I think and you are being a heathen. It may not be a law but you may end up in hell over it.

I asked the Toyota dealer what the secret was to disabling the driving light feature. He told me you have to cut the wires. This was from a dealer. So, I understand it irritates some people, but I am not cutting wires to disable the driving light function permanently.

Mine won't. Must have changed it.
