I'm heading to Falcon lake this weekend for the first time. Have a buddy flying in from Chicago to join. Just fun fishing. Would appreciate any tips on where to go and what to throw. thanks,

Be a crowd at the county ramp. Big lake with plenty of water though. Decide which end of lake you want to start and put in at the state park(dam end) or Beacon Lodge(upper lake) and avoid the crowd at the county ramp. http://www.tackleandrods.com/lake/flash.htm

We found numbers around the dam and decent size up the lake. Was down there last weekend, and county ramp can and will get crowded. I'll PM on what bates worked well for us.

Much better off going to the State Park Ramp for Saturday at least. County Ramp will have no parking and will be difficult during peak times to get in or out. Beacon will also be crowded as they are full right now..
