It's pretty easy to navigate. When you leave overlook go around the island. Do NOT got thru the cut between the islands, it is very shallow and lots of rocks. If you go right around it stay between the island and the bouys on your right closer to the island is deeper. If you choose to go left around its tag about 100 yards off of it until you get to the cut. There are a couple of road beds and humps that are shallow and they are either on your navionics or marked with bouys. West of rocky creek park there is some timber and north of Welch there is some. It's best to idle if you don't know where to run. When you get west of birch creek park a ways it get pretty shallow from there to nails creek park. I don't even take my bass boat up there unless the lake is high. Navionics maps are fairly good for this lake other than their depths are off in some places, so you should be able to read them and see where you can't go or need to idle.

Area by the "dump" has a hazard area and it's marked on the Navioinics chip. There are several very large concrete blocks, not sure what they are, but are probably 3x5 in size. I have no idea why they are there but I idled across one in a brand new boat, luckily not a scratch and only the keel guard touched it. I had switched from the map mode to another screen and had no idea they were there but got too close to the bank. Like I said, there is a hazard marking on the navionics map. I felt really stupid after doing it.
