I've been pleasantly surprised with how much I like the Mccain Tommy martin cranking rods. I've got the 7'2" and the 6'9" and they're great.

I use quantum for my primary cranking rod and a falcon for my 8xd or bigger. I just broke a quantum, totally my fault, and bought the same model, just newer because it's that good. This is just my $.02 but you see how KVD can go out and crank all day faster than anybody I've seen. He played a big part in the design of the quantum rods so he is able to do that. Plus he is the best crankbait guy out there so why would they build a crappy rod for cranking.

I have a Phenix cranking rod I love. Think it was $140. Feel like it is much lighter than other crankbait rods I've seen and I can cast a mile with it. I just got the 7'4 version didn't feel the need for a 7'10.

I use the Dobyns 765 CB RM for light and medium running CBs and the 805 CB RM for the deep running CBs. Champion XP lineup. Best I have found, to date. NEW, they run $259.99 each. Price is of no concern to me, when buying CB rods, I just want the BEST I can find. These are the ones I have chosen to fish T's and fun fish with. I have fished a LOT of CB rods, but haven't found anything that are as good as these. VERY LIGHT AND SENSITIVE. I want to know what the bait is doing each millisecond it is down there. These are NOT the Glass rods, but the graphite rods. I do not like glass or composite rods, for the reason listed above. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Dobyns Champion XP Crankbait Rods In all honesty, Dobyns makes one of, if not the best, crankbait rods on the market. These are great crankbait rods that are true to their actions and are very well balanced.

I agree...the McCain Tommy Martin series is really nice. I really like that they have separate rods for medium crank baits and big crank baits. Absolute quality with these rods.

Another vote for Dobyns crankbait rods. I have the 805 RM and the 806 XD.

I've got a duckett micro magic crankin rod that I like pretty well. I used to love the skeet reese cranking rod but the reel seats are complete garbage.
