Made this one today. I keep seeing these silly little crabs float by my kayak when I am fishing the lights at the causeway. I think this will get a bite hopefully.

Are these for sale? At least share some step by step directions.

Thanks for the interest but I'm sorry I don't have any to sell. I only made this one and haven't even had the chance to get out and try on the water yet.
In the picture are the materials I used. I used 1 mm foam and cut the shape out for the bottom and top to fold together. Basically I made an "hour glass" type cut out so that when it folds it is a match for the crab body outline except the bottom is a bit smaller to give the crab depth and overall better look.
I used 3/0 black thread on th hook to give the glue better grab to the foam.
I then cut the legs from leg rubber and tied them up for knuckles and used squirmy worms for front claws.
I made eyes from two stainless steel pins with round heads.
Then I laid it out with the legs, eyes, and hook placed on the body with generous super glue. Folded the bottom over and glued the whole thing together.
Painted with acrylic paints and coated the entire fly except legs with 15 minute epoxy.
It only weighs 0.07 oz so it will not sink unless I use heavy line which is what i may use and on the retrieve it will float up.
If I tie another I will send you one, from one Air Force veteran to another!

You can get foam cheap at the dollar store. If your gonna paint it the color does not matter but they have all good colors. I find lots of great materials there on the cheap! Some times I find those squishy balls with the rubber spikes for cheap too.
