Just wandering what you guys think this rain will do for Reimer's this season. Think it's too late for the whites to head up there for the spawn? The Pedernales got a hell of a lot of water from Fredericksburg on down...

The river will go down pretty quick once all the water goes into Lake Travis. The lake is full at 681', right now it is at 653'. The lake needs to get up to about 671'-673' for the water to be high enough for the whites to get up to Reimers. It's been 2 years since there has been enough water to get to Reimers, it might take another 2 to get it full. Hope not.

Well, it's up to 659' now. Still rising fairly quickly. This water will help a lot. Even though the river has enough water in it now, like you said, it will eventually drain. What I was wandering was if the whites that have been caught out of Travis have started spawning or not. Anybody had any luck on Travis with the whites or stripers this season? Maybe a few daredevil whites will make it to Reimer's. Fingers crossed...wishful thinking!

Talked to a friend on Monday that rent's a house in Reimer's Ranch, close to the rapids(upstream from Milton's old place or the New County Park??? )...He said he thought it would be a litte to late for much of a run this year, at least that far up...But he said he still hasn't actually tried fishing down yet... So I really don't know if the whites have moved up there yet or ever will this year???...(And I haven't tried it myself, down there either)... I already have plans to go to New Braunfels this weekend. But if I ever get a chance to go to Reimer's next week,or here anything happening down there I'll let ya'll know...
I did catch a limit of nice-size Whites on Lake Travis last Friday night 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Caught them all on live shad, about 1 foot off bottom in 10-12 foot deep water. At a private lighted dock a couple of miles downstream from Spicwood Beach Subdivision...And Caught about 15 Whites and 3 nice Crappie Monday night 2a.m. to 6a.m. at the same dock...And if I'm not working next week. I'll definitely be trying there again Monday night... FISHINGFOOL40

If you are catching them at the lake, as others (such as Ranger R) have posted lately, it is reasonable to believe that they will not run to Reimer's. It's way too late. The water temp on Travis is 64 degrees, so those fish should have spawned already (or at least tried to). However... Reimer's would probably be pretty good for some other species of fish Hey Fishingfool, does your friend's dock have WHITE lights? Maybe even some in the water? That WOULD be the ticket this time of year in the area of the lake you mentioned!
