Shimano Metanium MgL XG. That's an 8.5:1 gear ratio which allows me to pick up line very fast when a bass hits my bait.

Revo STX for me but whatever you like & use now will work fine. Don't like slower reels though.

I've got an older Pfluger cheapo that works great. Lock down the drag and get after it. That thing has been a workhorse and cast a mile. I personally wouldn't use a high dollar reel for frogs or slop fishing type stuff.

Lews super duty hands down, it's strong and also, you can bomb so,e casts out there. Like it still surprises me and I've owned 2 for more than a year now
