Hey all, I have a 99 Mercury optimax 200. My warning indicator on my dash has been beeping on and off like crazy the last several trips. The gas light on the indicator cluster is lit up even when I have a full tank of fuel. Does anyone know what this could be telling me? I don't have a merc manual so I can't look it up. Is this a simple problem with a simple solution? Or am I going to have to take it in? I haven't had any engine problems over the last several trips besides the beeping. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!

Call Tommy at Rockwall but it sounds like a bad tank sensor. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

When in doubt SET THE HOOK!

It also could be a bad oil tank sensor. Just replace the tank if the fuel filter does not solve the problem.

If it was the oil float sensor the oil light on the four function gauge would be lit not the fuel light That the only time the fuel light lites up is when the fuel filter is full of water...OPTI
