We were catching some quality fish a few weeks ago. We fished after the last front and the big fish were gone. Went deeper, up to 30ft and caught mostly dinks. Looking forward to some stable weather. That wind today is going to be something.

Good question. I could see tons of fish on my graph. My guess is that they would not bite. Caught 40 or so and only 7 nice keepers. The jig bite was completely gone. I guess that's why they call it fishing. I'll be back on it this weekend.

Assuming your bite was on mostly minnows then, if you still caught 40 with 7 keepers. Still a decent day in my book, but my expectations are low LOL

Crappie back off shallow water when the fronts come through. Look for them in 10 to 12 fow near shoreline spawn areas when they retreat. Usually they come right back shallow after a few days of warming. Stay after them.
