10' pieces of Bamboo, 60lbs. of Quikrete, some 5 Gallon Buckets. These will provide about 3 years of enjoyment & will hold Crappie in 30 Days.

I'll bite. They do look simple and good. What about what was said earlier,do they fall over when dropped? I need to make some and think I may know a place to cut bamboo. Thanks.

Take a long rope and run it thru the bucket handle. Hold both ends of the rope in one hand, make sure the rope is not looped around any part of you, lower the bucket till it hits bottom, release one end of the rope and pull the other end to pull the full rope back up into the boat.

That technique will get them down upright, but I doubt they will stay upright more than a week. Tall structures with small bases tend to fall easily. And placing them on a bottom with any kind of slope just enhances how fast they will fall over. There's much more current in a lake than most people imagine.
