Currently using a Dobyns 703 Champion for T-rigs but what would be a similar Falcon rod for this?

I would agree, the Cara Head Turner is probably closest to a Dobyns 703. Other models I really like are the 6'10" finesse jig (great fluke/senko and lighter t-rig rod), and of course, the Cara Amistad for the heavier stuff. Another one worth looking at if you want to stay at 7' would be the Cara Lizard Dragger 1.

Great recommendations.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with the Carolina Cara. It might be a tad overpower but it's got a softer tip for such a stiff rod that I think you'd be fine with it.

Paul's right on as far as I'm concerned. For me it's Head Turner @ Fork and 1610 Finesse jig on Waco and Tradinghouse

I don't know what rod matches your Dobyns but I don't like the head turner. Maybe I got a bad batch but mine has no backbone and I use them for chatterbaits. I do like the Amistad for t-rig.

I have several Falcon models but really like the Lowrider Lizard Dragger 1 for Texas Rigs.

Update...bought the Cara Amistad and used it for the first time yesterday. I would say it is a little more stiff than my 703 Dobyns but was very impressed.

The middle number is the power rating. Any med heavy would be good. The higher the number the stiffer they get. A 5 will have a softer tip, a 6 will be more stiff and a 7 is considered a heavy action.
