Looking to buy this rod in a few days. Anyone have any input on this rod, good or bad.
Thanks

I have four or the 7'3 cara Amistad rods and use them everyday, use them more than my Loomis rods.

No regrets....it's is absolutely an outstanding rod. I use mine most of the time when I am fishing.

Get the ST version.

They are the best multi use rods made IMO.

Do they make the Cara Amistad st any more? I have one that plays third string behind anot nrx 873 crr, and a orochii xx pitch perfect. They all split hairsecond in my hands from picking a favorite. But I live that rod. Right now it's got braid on it for frogs, it's a freaking hammer trig and jigs rod. And any time I'm skipping docks I don't even think about using something else. I'd highly reccomend

Great rod. Steer clear of the micro though. Have had to replace half-dozen eyes

One of the best, most versatile rods I have ever used. Don't think you will regret it.

the Cara ST is in the 2017 catalog....but as a Micro Guide rod....not bad....just not as good as the original ST with minima Fuji guides. The minima are a little bigger than regular micro.

I am fixing to beg and plead with Brian Cooper (Cooper Custom Rods) to get him to regrip and re guide my Amistad. I want it to have TiSic guides and a new airfoam grip. Then it will really be a SuperTuned Cara.
