I plan on getting this XI5 and wondered if I can get an adapter plug and use my Humminbird Helix DI with it, and will Down Image work. I plan on getting this model https://www.amazon.com/MOTORGUIDE-940800...words=940800270Does anybody know if I can use the Helix DI

Yes there is a adapter for XI5 to connector to a Hummingbird (7pin) - around $30
No on the Down Image. Xi5 is sonar only.
@ Corn Field Crappie Gear.com they make a mounting system where you can mount a external transducer.

So, what would my image look like without DI? Would it be the multi-colored setting? Mine looks like this without the #3 pin .... only has 4 pins!

Imagine will be 2D Sonar only . Now if your unit is only Di only your sol unless you purchase the mount i posted yesterday.

I run an onix with mine. it takes two adapters , one from lowrance and one from huminbird. If you want to run side scan from up front, there is a way , these are great folks http://www.fishingspecialties.com/ good luck Mo

I don't care about side scan too much, but I do like to see what is under the boat sometimes.
I hope 2D sonar works with the adapter so I can use my Helix and buy a nice big finder for my dash.

You can put the S I transducer on the XI-5. Call David at shut up and fish and he can hook you up.

Thanks, but I want built in so I wont twist my wires or knock my transducer off ..... I will be happy with just 2D sonar.
