These guys were hanging out in a shallow cove that wasn't more that 12" deep. Caught most of them next to a fallen tree that I also used as my fishing peer to stand on. Used jig with a black head and tail and chartreuse body. I caught 8 within about 30 min and then got hungry. All were released to swim another day because I forgot my stringer in the truck. LOL SMH A big thanks to the park ranger, if it wasn't for him sharing some of his honey holes, I would have skunked out on my first trip to this park. Really nice guy. You can tell he loves what he does. Sorry about the sideways pics, this is the first time I've used my iPhone to post pics and idk why they are sideways only when I post.

Thanks Tboxfish! I appreciate the technical help.

And it was definitely Lehman that I met. I'm checking out the lures he suggested too. Constant pursuit lures look like good stuff.

Thanks everyone one.

TBox, I just noticed your signature. Lehman also mentioned Thermocline lures. How are you associated with them?

Not too shabby three nails!
